SOLAR_PANEL_PARKING

In the caribbean we enjoy a lot of sunlight, in recognition of this the Solar Panel Parking Lot (SPPL) project aims to convert the parking lots of St. Maarten's High schools into energy generating sources by covering the parking lots with solar panel roofs. This has several benefits including:

  • It provides shade for the staff cars
  • It helps cut the schools' energy costs
  • It provides alternative energy source
  • It provides emergency energy sources
  • It is an environmentally friendly energy source.
  • It sensitizes students about Solar energy.

COPMANY_STAFF_TRANING

This project aims to persuade employers to select one employee for a paid 1 hour a week tech class which lasts for six months. CTC will provide all the necessary computers and peripherals needed for the class. The class is held at the employer's location where possible or at CTC's location. This benefits the employer in the following ways:

  • Increased and improved employee morale
  • Increased and improved levels of employee creativity and critical thinking skills
  • Conversion of new skills/knowledge earned by employees into increased productivity

We implore employers to sign up and be part of this wonderful initiative.

STEM SUMMER_CAMP

We want to go beyond the typical high school IT curriculum consisting mostly of Microsoft Office and introduce our youth to Computer Science topics rarely taught in High Schools like, Programming, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Networking, Electronic Waste management.
Our Summer Camps expose our youth to semi-advanced computer science subjects preparing them to participate in regional competitions aimed at identifying the ones with potentials and passion for technology but lack the resources, training and discipline required.
